The Artwork of Jeff Koons
“If people were able to remove anxiety, then they would have access to a higher state of consciousness (...) The way to remove anxiety is to accept everything”
“There is a lot of tragedy and darkness in life. But we have opportunities. I find it more exciting that we have so much potential. The idea of becoming something greater, of moving forward. To not take advantage of those opportunities, that is what I would find tragic.”

Slime mould growth as a template for urban design
Physarum polycephalum forms a protoplasmic network to solve transport problems by connecting food sources. It reinforces optimal pathways through protoplasmic streaming, resulting in versatile vascular morphologies. Existing digital models limit design control. A new system decouples Physarum behavior, enabling multi-stage network growth control. By producing a responsive mesh and calculating a flexible shortest-walk, urban networks similar to natural ones are created. It's a versatile tool for bio-inspired urban network design.

Venus is not Earth's closest neighbor
Mercury, not Venus or Mars, is actually the closest planet to Earth on average, according to a study. Scientists simulated the solar system's orbits and calculated the distances between planets over thousands of years. They found that Mercury consistently had the shortest distance to Earth and other planets, challenging common assumptions.
