In a significant medical breakthrough, the Houston Methodist Academic Institute has developed a new device the size of a grain of rice that can deliver drugs to the pancreas to treat pancreatic cancer. The amount of medication required for these devices to be effective is four times smaller than that needed for traditional treatment of pancreatic tumors. This is excellent news.
