I have a pair of sound speakers that are old but don’t look like it. They were relatively cheap, but I like them. They are delicate and produce sound in a way that I have become used to. The right one has three knobs; I like the way they feel, they are both smooth and precise. One is for ON/OFF, one is for volume, and one is for tone/bass.
I don’t know when, but some years ago the middle one, for the volume, had a weird thing that only in a certain position could be carefully reached, delicately, on its own time, switching from side to side, so that it allowed you to hear from both speakers. Once you reach that point, you leave it, otherwise you’ll only listen from one of the speakers. It has its own terms; it’s like gently trying to find the frequency on an analog radio.
In life, we often find ourselves in situations where delicate balance is required to achieve desired outcomes. Just like the volume knob, we must carefully adjust and move within certain parameters to find the optimal setting. It can be a challenge, but it is also exhilarating to find the right frequency, the one that brings harmony.
I like the speakers, and I think I won’t get rid of them anytime soon. They remind me of the importance of finding balance, even when the task may seem daunting.
